Cable Trunking

What is Cable Trunking?

Cable Trunking is an enclosure to help protect cables and conceal the cable. Generally, cable trunking is a rectangular shape with one side being removable. Some modern cable trunking is self-adhesive making it simple and easy to install. Self-adhesive trunking has the ability to attach to walls as well as other flat surfaces securely. A popular use for self-adhesive trunking is to conceal cables going from a wall-mounted TV, or for uses in a home office.

Types of Trunking:

Two commonly references for trunking include Mini trunking and Maxi trunking.

Maxi Trunking: Maxi Trunking & Accessories, include Internal and External AnglesFlat Tees and Flat Angles plus many more. The use of heavy-duty, construction-style material offers years of dependability. This allows maxi trunking to handle daily wear and tear as well as provide protection against impact.

Mini Trunking: Mini Trunking is made of hard-wearing, robust material. It is a cost-effective to offer protection to electrical wiring routes from impact and moisture damage. With a large range of variety in sizes and lengths available, you can easily dock to you the size you need. Available in self-adhesive form, meaning one side of the Mini Trunking offers adhesive backing. This makes it ready to attach to the surfaces of walls and ceilings etc. The non-adhesive version is particularly useful for outdoor installations.

Materials of construction:

The two main types of materials found in trunking are plastic and also galvanized steel.
