What Is The Difference Between PVC SWA Cable and LSF SWA Cable? – PVC SWA Cable is a standard type of Armoured Cable that is uses a PVC sheath. This cable is commonly found in a range of applications from carrying mains power to houses and places of business to being buried underground to provide power to an outhouse or outdoor workshop.
LSF SWA Cable is a similar type of armoured cable, the only difference being the outer cable sheath. It’s constructed different to regular PVC, meaning the sheath is ‘Low Smoke & Fume’ (LSF). This means that when burnt, the cable lets off less harmful smoke and fumes which allows people to exit the building safely.
